About Gekko Shinkyu (Moonbow Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinic)
“月虹” (Gekko) refers to a faint and delicate rainbow that appears during the night due to the moon's light. Moonbows are typically seen only once a month, on evenings close to the full moon. In the Hawaiian Islands, where moonbows are frequently observed, they are called "Moonbow" and are believed to bring happiness, grant wishes, and symbolize ancestral spirits crossing a bridge to offer blessings. It is a super-happy rainbow.
In establishing the Shinkyu (Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion treatment) and Tui na (Chinese hands-on body treatment) department within the "Kimberlite Consultation Room," located a 5-minute walk from Futako-Tamagawa Station, we named it "Moonbow Shinkyu." The intention behind Moonbow Shinkyu treatments is to help you feel your own happiness by boosting motivation, alleviating fatigue, and promoting holistic well-being of both your mind and body.
True happiness comes from within.
About Kimberlite Consultation Room
The Kimberlite Consultation Room was created as a multipurpose space offering a wide range of therapies and workshops for both mind and body. These include acupuncture and moxibustion, neuromuscular painless therapy, Bach Flower Remedy consultations, hydrogen inhalation, medical aromatherapy, herbal remedies, medicinal cooking, and nutritional guidance.
The name "Kimberlite" is derived from a mineral that forms as a result of volcanic activity and has the potential to contain diamond deposits. Incorporating the name symbolizes the tremendous energy of the Earth and the radiance that comes from within individuals.
To You, Whom I Will Meet in the Near Future
The mind and body are interconnected—they are, in fact, one entity. Everything in the world is composed of the principles of yin and yang. Yin and yang are not merely separate entities but coexist within each other. There is yang within yin, and yin within yang, making them distinct but also unified. Without darkness, there is no dawn, and vice versa. Each exists because of the presence of the other. Although they seem contradictory, they are actually parts of a whole and yet separate at the same time.
Humans tend to compare themselves to others—it's a part of our nature. Sometimes it can be beneficial, but other times it can be detrimental. However, if we can believe that every existence exists in a state of perfection, we will no longer need to suffer and instead feel gratitude for the opportunity to grow. When we can view things from various perspectives, anger dissipates, and the feeling of betrayal, born out of expectations, fades away, leaving behind a state of equanimity, which is a pleasant state of mind. This sense of tranquility is an irreplaceable and wonderful sensation. Please embrace this sense of tranquility and become your authentic self. When your mind and body become strong and healthy, things will naturally fall into place, and life will become more peaceful.
